Accra Final days

Its hard to believe the program is almost over. Our last day of teaching will be this Friday. We have been working with the boys on business plans, its been fun. Some of the businesses they have chosen are draughting companies, construction companies, pharmacy, nite club, boutique, and many more. We start their presentations this week we are all looking forward to seeing them.

Carla has also been giving a few seminars to the YWCA girls. They have been going well and Beatrice has been assisting her.

We are all sad to be leaving, the boys have really touched our lives, many of us have had the time to get to know them outside of the class room and we will miss them so much. This experience has been a great one and we are all grateful to have had the opportunity to come to Ghana.

i came upon your webpage quite by accident and i am not familiar with your group, but i am full of admiration for anyone who helps those in need of help abroad.
we have a male friend who is 30 years of age, and lives in Accra He has A Levels and a very good standard of english conversation- i have been corresponding with him for a year ( i am a mature lady) and he tells me that it is very difficult to find work there-he lost his parents some years ago and is alone there. he also has a male friend with a business here in the UK who has been able to give him a little help- however, we would both like to give him the opportunity for a better life here in the uk, but think that may be difficult.we wonder if you group offers any training or other opportunities for people like this young man in Accra or Ghana , or if you would be able to give us any information on where he might find assistance there
