Pre-Departure Training in T.O.
We have just finished 8 days of training at the YMCA, and tomorrow we leave for Ghana. This past week all team members have been getting to know each other and the workshops we will be running. Seven of us have spent our nights in the Canadiana Backpackers Inn. I have posted some pictures of the nights out and the team building activities we've enjoyed such as karaoke night at the fox and fiddle and group dinners. Tonight everyone is getting packed and ready to go. The first group leaves at 11am on a delta flight and the second group later that day on the KLM flight. We will all meet up again in Accra on Sunday evening and begin our work with the youths in Ghana.

hey jess, its dad...are u there yet? is it hot there? whats your room like? is it a big town? how are the people there? did u brush your teeth yet? are you being good? what did you have to eat?...ok forget all those questions and just let me know your alright....damn jess werent u just a baby yesterday, and look at you now....we love you jess, be happy, have fun, work hard and most important BE SAFE

Saw Albert yesterday..brought him over some soup I made. Bought you guys another duvet for your bed..then I went to check out your house ..went inside, had a bath in your big tub...only kidding ..big house..holy cow...Love you honey, write when you can...have a good day..Happy Thanksgiving..do they celebrate it there??? So glad to hear from my loved ones at home Love you Mom, Dad, Jessica Nicole and Albert...miss all of you.
Cant beleive dad wrote to me ...he is not a dinosaur after all.....
It is HOT, HOT, HOT today. I 'm dripping in sweat as we speak..
I am safe and well and I'm happy to report healthy..eating alot of fish and red red(beans in fish) Will be in charge of posting a blog from Takoridi so keep posted :)Love Sam
